We Had Lots Of Countertops To Choose From
When we were deciding on countertops for our recent kitchen remodel I was amazed at the variety of materials available for countertops. We checked-out granite, ceramic tile, butcher block, cambria countertops, engineered stone and a solid material (specifically Corian). They all offered the advantages of being available in colors to match out cabinets, being easy to clean, all required very little or no maintenance and moderately easy to install. As much as we liked granite and engineered stone their cost put them out of our budget. The butcher block just seemed to be too much wood for the amount of countertop we need to install; we ended using it just on the island. My wife didn’t like the ceramic tile, need I say more. So we ended with the Corian. The cost fit into out budget, it was easy to install, requires no special maintenance and was very affordable to have installed.
