An Amazing Piece of Equipment
A scooter can be an amazing piece of equipment for people who have limited mobility. It enables them to get places so much quicker than they could on foot, and it can even move over uneven ground outdoors. I know a disabled woman who bought one of those discount gas powered motorized scooters and runs it around the whole neighborhood. She visits neighbors and even seems to enjoy helping them. Before she got it, it was so painful for her to walk that she rarely left her house. She says that she likes it more than a wheelchair, because it makes her feel like she’s an able-bodied person just using a toy.
